i lost my brother, hayan.

this is him. this laugh. this is how i want to remember him.

on 29 july, 2026, he was in a school van accident back home in banswara. there were 15 students in that van. somehow, hayan was the only one who lost his life.

i was in vietnam when it happened.

i didn't get a call first. i found out from the news. my little brother's name, on a screen, thousands of kilometres away from home.

that thing broke me.

he was just 15.

i keep repeating that number because it still doesn't make sense. 15 years old. a whole life sitting in front of him. and then it was gone.

hayan was a legend.

at just 15, he had already built a community of 7k+ followers on [instagram](https://www.instagram.com/hayancreates/). he would inspire me every single day to create content. somehow, my little brother became one of my biggest inspirations, and an inspiration to so many other kids out there.

he was also a state-level handball player.

he loved music more than anything. he had almost every musical instrument you could imagine.

and he loved me sooooo much.

this is us. i still can't believe this is a memory now.

he followed my every step. but what he probably never realised was how much i looked up to him too.

i used to think the point of life was building things. shipping products. making money. becoming someone.

then 29 july happened, and none of that felt like a point at all.

so... what is the point of life?

i don't have a clean answer. i don't think anyone does.

but i know this: the point is not later. later is a story we tell ourselves so we can postpone the hug, the call, the "i love you."

hayan didn't get later. and i didn't get to say goodbye.

so if you're reading this, please do one thing for me.

call the person you love. sit with them. tell them. don't wait for a reason. don't wait for a better day. don't wait until you "have time."

you don't get to choose how much time you get with someone. you only get to choose what you do with the time you have.

hug your people tonight. say the thing you've been meaning to say. be a little softer. be a little present. that's it. that's the whole message.

15 years was way too short. but the impact hayan made will stay forever.

hayan, you are my hero.

you always were and you always will be.

i love you sooooo much, brother.

rest in peace, legend.
